What is romanticisation?

Romanticising something is making it seem better or more appealing than it really is. Essentially, you’re trying to reframe studying in your mind as something more fun and desirable than it actually is.

Why should you romanticise studying?

Romanticising studying has a number of benefits. It makes studying seem like something fun and exciting. This means that you study even more often, and for longer sessions. Moreover, it makes studying itself more enjoyable, meaning that you no longer feel bored and apathetic while studying.

How can you romanticise studying?

Change your mindset

One of the ways you can make studying seem more appealing is to change your mindset towards studying. You can do this by rewarding yourself for studying or using gamification to make studying more fun. Another way is to think about your goals and how studying will drive you towards them. Finally, you can make a vision board to motivate yourself!

Change your mood

There are tons of ways to put yourself in the mood for studying. For example, you can watch study videos on youtube to inspire you. You can also listen to quiet music to make the ambience nicer, or light a few scented candles! Another option is to watch study with me videos to put you in the mood to study.

Change your space

The final way to romanticise studying is to change your space to make it more conducive to studying. You can do this by making your desk look nice, making your notes pretty, or studying with friends. One of the best ways to romanticise studying is to study in a cafe or a library!
